Bible Trivia: Twins! OMG!

In Romans 9:10-15, Paul explains that in the case of twin babies Jacob and Esau, god:

A:  loved them both

B:  hated them both

C:  loved only Jacob

D:  loved only Esau

can you smell what god is cooking?

 ANSWER:  C

10 Not only that, but Rebekah’s children were conceived at the same time by our father Isaac. 11 Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad—in order that God’s purpose in election might stand: 12 not by works but by him who calls—she was told, “The older will serve the younger.”[d] 13 Just as it is written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”[e]
14 What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! 15 For he says to Moses,
“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,
and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”[f]

So in this passage it is explained that god just hates people sometimes.  For no reasons at all.  He can love one twin and hate another before they are even born.

why do all babies look like little sumo wrestlers?

This is a very different idea than the ones that are bandied about in casual conversation these days.

 yeah, about that...

Then again, these are voluntary organizations and it's hard to recruit members under the "god might love you or not.  It's a crapshoot." banner.

the kids are cute, but still a tough sell
