In Deuteronomy 22:28-29, Moses says that if a man rapes a virgin who is not pledged to be married, he must:

B.  be crucified

C.  pay her father 50 shekels

D.  marry her

did you know there was a rapper named "50 shekel"

ANSWER:  C & D

²⁸ If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, ²⁹ he shall pay her father fifty shekels^[c] of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.

THE BREAKDOWN:

This is a rather bizarre rule that people have thankfully chosen to ignore.
 

But let's do a little math here.  If you felt a little rapey one day, what would it have cost you in the olden days to get yourself a bouncing new bride?
